Originally from Lancashire, England, Courtenay began her career as a child dancer and quickly began working professionally. This led to Acting classes, where she caught the ‘Acting Bug’ and completed all of her LAMDA exams in both Acting and Verse & Prose before attending Drama School in London and New York.
Alongside working as an actress, Courtenay is a writer for the stage and screen; having lent many pieces to the Larry’s Feet portfolio, and artist; which has enabled her to get involved in the design and construction of sets and costumes. She thoroughly enjoys the entire process of creating work and incorporating her studies of various global theatre practices. The importance of her work holding a mirror up to society is of great importance and was a part of the basis for co-founding Larry’s Feet.
